NES-LITTLE FREE LIBRARY

Little Free Library is a nonprofit programme that inspires a love of reading, builds community, and sparks creativity by fostering neighborhood book exchanges around the NES campus. Little Free Libraries play an essential role by providing 24/7 access to books (and encouraging a love of reading!) in areas where books are scarce. The Little Free Library movement is a book-sharing concept among neighbors or within a larger community. This movement works by encouraging people to place fun, tiny libraries right in their front yards. Families can borrow a book, read it, and then return it when they are finished, or they can replace it with another book instead. This is a great way for users to increase the number (and types!) of books they have access to while also developing their passion for reading.
Our mission is to be a catalyst for building community, inspiring readers, and expanding book access for all through a global network of volunteer-led Little Free Library book-exchange boxes.
Our vision is a Little Free Library in every community and a book for every reader. We believe all people are empowered when the opportunity to discover a personally relevant book to read is not limited by time, space, or privilege.
